Flights began on July 1st and will run weekly on Mondays and Fridays. With the CBX Cross Border Express easily connecting Tijuana airport with San Diego, this new flight connects Puerto Escondido with southern California and connecting flights. The flights began just in time for the Guelaguetza events in Oaxaca and summer break. Flights are on Airbus A320 with room for 186 passengers leaving the Tijuana International Airport at 00:35 and PXM, Puerto Escondido Airport at 6:48. Volaris now has 3 flights to Puerto Escondido: from Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana. Puerto Escondido also has flights from Mexico City on Viva Aerobus, Aeromar, Magni Charters, and Aeromexico. Aerotoucan flies from Oaxaca. A fast and easy border crossing, passengers from the Tijuana International Airport have the option of using CBX, the Cross Border Express. This service allows passengers to cross the border from San Diego and access connectivity with 3 airlines serving Puerto Escondido and Huatulco: Volaris, Viva Aerobus, and Aeromexico.
